Mimicking shear flow

Mirus Evo is a patented, precision, microfluidic, 8-channel syringe pump for cell analysis under shear flow mimicking physiological flow in the human vasculature.  Includes MultiFlow8, a manifold that enables the flow from the Mirus Evo to be split equally into 8 separate tubes to conduct 8 assays simultaneously in the Vena8 range of biochips, resulting in higher throughput with this 8-channel syringe pump.  Mirus Evo is PC-controlled by VenaFluxAssay Software.

The patented technology behind the Mirus Evo Nanopump ensures that it can deliver the most accurate, steady flow rate in microfluidic channels.  With excellent precision and the ability to aspirate and dispense microlitre sample volumes, the Mirus Evo Nanopump is ideal for working with small sample volumes (e.g. mice whole blood where only 100uL sample may be available).  

Additionally, VenaFluxAssay software also has a "pulsatile flow" setting enabling the modeling of pulsatile flow as seen in vivo (arterial, venous etc.).  Applications for this include the investigation of effects of pulsatile flow on morphology and orientation of cells and subsequent integrin expression.
