This line of embryonic mouse hippocampal cell lines is based on a proprietary platform technology which has enabled the creation of 4 phenotypcially distinct immortalized cell lines; immortalized from mouse embryonic Hippocampal primary cultures by retroviral transfer of SV40 T-Ag.

The Hippocampal cell lines are easy to culture, have efficient transfection rates and have robust gene and protein expression. As such, these cell lines enable accurate in vitro assays for use in the discovery, development and validation of new therapeutics targeted to central-nervous system diseases and disorders, including obesity, stress, reproduction and metabolic disorders, amongst others.
