New tools for your Parkinson's Disease research

Discover our two new fluorometric based kits for Glucocerebrosidase (GBA) activity measurement

GBA's potential influence on Parkinson's disease: the autophagy connection.

GBA's potential influence on Parkinson's disease: the autophagy connection

Approximately 5% - 8% of people with Parkinson's disease have a genetic mutation in the Glucocerebrosidase (GBA) gene. Involved in the Autophagy Lysosomal pathway (ALP) it is suggested that such mutations downregulate autophagy events and impact lysosomal dysfunction, contributing to the incidence of Parkinson's disease.

Anaspec have developed the SensoLyte® Glucocerebrosidase (GBA) Assay Kits to evaluate GBA enzyme activity. This approach gives more accurate results than those obtained with kits that detect merely the total quantity of enzyme.

tebu-bio is pleased to bring you these two new Fluorimetric based kits for GBA activity measurement and screening :

  • Optimized Performance - These kits are optimized to detect GBA activity and are less prone to background interference.
  • Enhanced Value - Ample reagents to perform 100 assays in a 96-well format.
  • High Speed - The entire process can be completed in one hour
  • Applications
  • Red GBA Assay Kit is ideal for HTS and compound screens.
  • Blue GBA kit is specifically validated for activator screening
