• Methologies: Optimized Fmoc and Boc methodologies are employed for peptide synthesis. Cleavage of peptides is performed using trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), hydrogen fluoride (HF), or other appropriate methods.
• Total quality management: Peptides are produced in accordance to GMP/GLP and ISO guidelines. Whereas most of peptides are checked for quality at the final stage (QC), peptides produced by AnaSpec are checked for quality after each stage of the production process (see Figure 1).
• Purification: Most of the peptides are purified by HPLC using reverse phase C4 and C18 columns. Alternative purification methods (e.g., ion exchange and gel filtration chromatography) are used when needed. For purity requirements of >95%, AnaSpec runs its HPLC analyses at a gradient of 0-60% over 45 mins. Like a close-up photograph, this insures that peptide validation reveals even the smallest of impurities (see Figure 2).
• Equipment: state-of-the-art automated peptide synthesizers capable of performing syntheses ranging from small (0.025 mmol) to large (50 mmol) scale. These state-of-the-art synthesizers, coupled with experienced peptide chemists, enable us to deliver your peptides quickly and in high quality (purity of 90-95% is typical).
• Delivery: Most custom orders can be expected to be delivered in two to four weeks.
