The MasterPure™ DNA Purification Kit for Blood (Epicentre, Madison, WI) can be used to isolate exceptionally pure genomic DNA from whole mammalian blood or buffy coat. Up to 100 µg of DNA can be recovered from 600 µl of buffy coat in less than 30 minutes using 1.5-ml microcentrifuge tubes. Protocols are provided for genomic DNA purification from whole blood.
