siRNA: Gene Silencing
Silenced gene expression analysis

Western blot analysis of p16 expression in non-transfected control (A) and p16 siRNA transfected (B) HeLa cells. Blot probed with p16 (C-20): sc-468. Actin (I-19): sc-1616 used as specificity and loading control.
To assess the knowdown effect of your target-specific siRNA, you would like first to check the efficiency of the silencing:

  • Be sure that the mRNA of your target gene is degraded via a PCR experiment
For each ready-to-use siRNA that we offer, a corresponding PCR primer sets are available: you just need to indicate the siRNA reference followed by "-PR".
By extension, tebu-bio provide pre-tested primer sets for every single gene in the human, rat and mouse genome. Use our " Primer Sets Search Engine" to find easily your ready-made oligonucleotides.

  • Make a second control level by checking the extinguished expression of the target protein
For each family of proteins, an exhaustive list of antibodies are available to perform Western-blot and Immunohistochemistry.

To find your target, please use our search engine or send us an e-mail for a help to the search.
