Animal Primary Cells
Bovine Renal Artery Endothelial Cells (BRAEC)
Bovine Renal Artery Endothelial Cell (BRAEC) are derived from renal artery of USDA inspected cattle. They are cryopreserved at the second passage and can be propagated at least 10 doublings. Endothelial cell dysfunction is the primary cause of no reflow phenomenon in postischemic kidneys1. Low endothelial nitric oxide synthasae activity may contribute in hypertension2,3 in renal failure patients. BRAEC have been used as a cellular model for studying the pathogenesis of septic shock4.   Animal Cells - Bovine Renal Artery Endotheilial Cells

Characterization: Positive for DiI-Ac-LDL uptake.
